featuring Craig Roberts lecturer from UNSW who will
discuss:
· the uses and limitations of using GPS
· how GPS can be used for the redefinition of
boundaries
· how SydNet will revolutionalise the use of GPS for everyday surveys
During his PhD studies Craig
worked extensively on the development of a
low-cost, single-frequency, automatic GPS-based volcano monitoring system.
and also featuring Les Gardner from LPI-NSW
who will:
· discuss
the uses and calibration of GPS
· discuss
LPI requirements for using GPS for Cadastral surveys
Also on the night
will be the usual updates on the Institution, BOSSI, the Seniors Group and the
Young Surveyors Group.
